I have always tried hard to surround myself with people and environments that make others feel good about themselves. After graduating with degrees in Nutrition & Dietetics and Foreign Languages at NIU, I worked in the weight loss industry for several years. Jenny Craig afforded me many opportunities at a young age; from positions of weight loss consulting, to sales and business management. (#jclifer)

 

When it was time for me to move on, I decided to explore the beauty industry. In 2012 I graduated from Pivot Point Academy and began working full time as a stylist. While I enjoyed my time behind the chair, two years taught me that I missed the business side of, well, business.

 

In September of 2013, I was presented with an opportunity that would allow me to stay in the beauty industry and develop and sharpen my abilities as a stylist, while also utilizing the skills I honed in my previous career. I served as the Director of Operations at a Chicago-based extensions company for nearly 8 years.

 

Since then, I have transitioned back into a career as a full-time stylist focusing on services that I love doing: styling & extensions.  As a stylist, I am continuously grateful to play a small role in some of the most special days in the lives of my clients, whether they are going to prom, their wedding, or a once-in-a-blue-moon date night. On the extensions side, there is literally nothing that I have come across that gives such an instant burst of confidence as extensions, and having the ability to give my clients that gift is a constant source of pride for me.
